We collect contributions from employers and employees, invest them responsibly, and pay out benefits when life takes an unexpected turn — whether that’s retirement, illness, injury, or the loss of a loved one..
You work hard for South Sudan. NSIF works hard for you.
Your contributions build the future you deserve.

Simple. Transparent. Secure.
Here is how the National Social Insurance Fund works for you and your employer.
Employer Registers
Every private sector employer in South Sudan registers with NSIF and receives an official registration certificate displayed at their workplace.
Employee is Enrolled
Once registered, employers enroll all their employees into the fund. Each employee receives a unique social insurance number.
Contributions are Made
Every month, a contribution is made — 8% deducted from the employee's gross salary and 17% paid by the employer — directly into the Fund.
Your Record Grows
NSIF maintains a complete record of your contributions, your service history, and your entitlements — updated and secure.
Benefits are Paid
When you reach retirement, face illness or injury, or experience a life event covered by the Fund, you make a claim and NSIF pays your benefit promptly and fairly.
Secure Your Future with NSIF Registration
Every worker in South Sudan's private sector and NGO sector is entitled to social insurance protection. Registration ensures your contributions are accurately tracked and your benefits are secured.
Once your employer is registered, they will enroll you into the fund. You can then access your unique social insurance number and monitor your growing security.
NSIF is here to ensure that your hard work translates into a stable future for you and your family.
Registration is Your Legal Obligation - and Your Team Deserves It
Under the National Social Insurance Fund Act, 2023, every contributing employer in South Sudan is required to register with NSIF within one month of becoming an employer.
Registration protects your employees. It protects your business. And it keeps you on the right side of South Sudan's labour law.
Getting registered is straightforward. Our team is here to guide you through every step.
